But when Hurricane Gustav battered the coast of Louisiana in 2008, her family, along with thousands of others, were homeless and displaced within 24 hours. This is Heidi’s story, and how her commitment to helping others, specifically military veterans experiencing homelessness, led her to find a meaningful career with Cook Inlet Housing Authority.

In this episode, Alaskan artists Crystal Worl and Emma Hill share their experiences reaching out to, and honoring elders through creativity during Covid-19.

This episode shares the story of Cook Inlet Lending Center adapting and working together to get relief grants to Alaskan business owners during Covid-19.

This episode shares the inspiring story of Tipasa ‘Basa’ Faletagoa’i, who worked his way up from an unhealthy lifestyle, to becoming Cook Inlet Housing Authorities ‘Health & Wellness Coordinator’, where he works with elders to stay active and fit.
